We’re working with a leading engineering and fabrication company who are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right person.
You’ll be responsible for the fabrication, installation and fitting of carbon steel piping systems, working both in the workshop and on-site. You’ll work from isometric drawings and ensure all work is completed to exacting standards of quality and safety.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Fitting, aligning and installing 3”–6” carbon steel pipework to specification.
- Reading and interpreting isometric drawings and fabrication sketches.
- Carrying out small-scale fabrication work where required.
- Working closely with welders, fabricators and supervisors to ensure accurate installations.
- Maintaining safe working practices at all times and following site HSE procedures.
Applicants to this role require
- Proven experience working as a Pipefitter in an industrial or fabrication setting.
- Strong background working with carbon steel pipe (3”–6”).
- Ability to read drawings and complete accurate installations.
- Fabrication skills would be a strong advantage.
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a team.
