We are seeking a Materials Cataloguer to join a global energy company on a long-term contract. In this role, you will act as the central point of contact for material mastering issues, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure all Material Master requests are accurately processed in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating SAP Material Masters based on Vendor SPIL packages, datasheets, and other provided information, ensuring nomenclature accuracy.
- Allocating stock settings to critical and operational spares according to repairs and spares strategy.
- Maintaining the Material Master system, identifying and resolving anomalies.
- Collaborating with external project teams to close out maintenance projects while ensuring compliance with supply chain processes.
- Maintaining operational and drilling materials for new and existing projects, including new country entries and third-party materials.
- Working with plant maintenance and equipment manufacturers to ensure bills of materials are current, eliminating obsolescence and verifying manufacturer details.
- Liaising with the Asset Management Team to identify potential management-of-change or safety issues, ensuring all sourced materials meet asset specifications.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
