About The Role
PD&MS Group are now looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead our Project Controls Department in Baku, Azerbaijan on a full-time, rotational (6/2) basis. Travel, visas and accommodation are provided. This role will oversee a large Project Controls team across all client contracts in the Caspian region and will involve delivery of a large portfolio of Flowline, non-Flowline, and drilling based modification projects. Previous experience working for both the Operator and EPC contractors is highly desirable. Must have considerable experience working in, and leading/managing Cost, Planning and/or Document Control teams.
As the Project Controls Manager, you will:
- Supervising and leading the Document Control, Estimating, Cost, Change Management and Planning disciplines;
- Serves as the central point of contact, functional leader and senior subject matter expert in project controls;
- Identify, mitigate, manage and control risks in respect of delivery of services by monitoring risk factors and their responses, and initiating change as required;
- Prepare, implement processes and maintain, procedures, and guidance related to project controls;
- Gather and applying project controls best practices and lessons learned;
- Responsible for Document Control, Estimating, Cost, Change Management and Planning activities to ensure they align with project controls processes and over all objectives;
- Undertake the role of company interface regarding planning, resource planning and budgeting;
- Review schedule reports for accuracy and devise mitigation plans;
- Reporting including key performance measures to track/report progress and trends;
- Development and management of project controls efforts;
- Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems;
- Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example;
- Ensure direct report performance reviews are carried out within the required timescales (where applicable).

About You
Experience and Competencies Required:
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject;
- Significant, demonstrable experience in Project Planning, Execution, Scheduling, and Project Control;
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant oil and gas industry codes and standards;
- Understanding of interfaces between various engineering disciplines;
- Experience in the use of Business Systems and Implementation and Management of Processes;
- Significant experience in the use of Planning software;
- Previous experience in a similar role;
- Experience in managing and developing others;
- Competent in the use of MS Office applications;
- Advanced written and spoken English.
