Permanent opportunity in Aberdeen for a technically minded sales professional with experience in valve automation and flow control solutions. This role combines engineering knowledge with commercial responsibility, supporting customers across the energy and industrial sectors.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Promoting and selling valve automation and actuation solutions to new and existing customers.
- Preparing technical and commercial quotations in line with client specifications and project requirements.
- Interpreting engineering documentation including datasheets, P&IDs and technical drawings.
- Liaising with internal engineering, production and supply chain teams to ensure accurate costing and delivery timelines.
- Conducting client visits and presentations to understand operational needs and identify opportunities.
- Managing the full sales cycle from enquiry through to order placement and handover.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Monitoring market activity and competitor trends to support strategic sales planning.
Applicants to this role require
- Experience in technical sales within valve automation, actuators, flow control or a related mechanical discipline.
- Strong understanding of industrial valve systems and associated components.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into commercial proposals.
- Proven track record of developing client relationships and securing orders.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate pricing and terms.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
