Senior Contracts Advisor – VR/32077

A Senior Contracts Advisor opportunity on a 3-year fixed-term contract, responsible for managing complex, high value and high risk contractual and procurement activities across the UK operations of a North Sea E&P company. The role focuses on negotiating strategic service agreements, administering contracts and reinforcing supply chain governance to ensure controlled and compliant delivery in support of offshore operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiating, negotiating and administering complex, high value contracts, purchase orders and service orders.
  • Leading commercial negotiations to manage financial, legal and reputational risk exposure.
  • Acting as primary escalation point for contractual disputes and significant commercial matters.
  • Preparing, reviewing and monitoring service contracts, including estimates, commitments, budget controls and cost allocations.
  • Overseeing and coordinating all contracting and procurement activities across the UK entity.
  • Monitoring and enforcing adherence to Supply Chain Management processes by internal stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of contract management and procurement processes, including policy and sourcing strategy enhancement.
  • Reviewing and improving contracting and purchasing procedures to strengthen efficiency and governance.
  • Supporting contractor management activities in relation to operational performance and HSEQ risk control.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across senior management, legal teams, suppliers and vendors.
  • Supporting oversight of procurement spend across operational and capital budgets.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in contracts and procurement within the petrochemical or offshore oil and gas sector.
  • Strong understanding of UK procurement law, contracting models and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience managing high value and high-risk service contracts.
  • Experience supervising staff or coordinating the work of others.
  • Professional qualification such as NEVI or CIPS.
  • ERP system experience, ideally SAP.
  • Degree in supply chain, procurement, business, law, engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong negotiation capability and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
