Join a dynamic drilling company in Dyce as a Logistics Coordinator! You’ll play a key role in coordinating the movement of materials by air, sea, and land, ensuring deliveries are efficient, timely, and cost-effective. This is an exciting 4-week opportunity (possibility to be extended).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating assigned air and ocean shipments, including project cargo, with third-party logistics providers.
- Supporting the review of material and packing reports to ensure alignment with designated shipping schedules.
- Assisting in reviewing and processing operational requests, including upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations.
- Supporting the coordination of air and ocean freight bookings in collaboration with trade compliance teams to ensure compliant imports and exports while minimising delays.
- Communicating effectively with regional counterparts and internal stakeholders, providing updates on shipment status and key milestones.
- Supporting the monitoring of shipments at ports, airports, and other locations to ensure timely, compliant departure, arrival, and delivery.
- Assisting in expediting and coordinating both urgent and non-urgent orders through to final delivery, including milestone tracking.
- Supporting the tracking and expediting of open orders to ensure on-time delivery and resolution of delays.
- Assisting in coordinating domestic and international freight estimates with logistics providers as requested by internal stakeholders.
- Supporting the maintenance of shipping documentation.
- Supporting supplier onboarding activities, including the setup of new vendors.
About you:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as JD Edwards.
