Currently seeking an experienced ROV Technical & Asset Support professional on a permanent staff basis for a global ROV specialist based in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.
It will be an office and workshop-focused role that will also probably require some occasional offshore travel. It would suit an experienced ROV Pilot Technician or ROV Submersible Engineer who has experience with Seaeye Panther, Cougar and Lynx systems.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the ROV Technical & Asset Support will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Supporting offshore teams to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Ensuring that all preventative and general maintenance is carried out by offshore teams and supporting records are completed and submitted.
- Responsible for reviewing system inventories and ensuring they are maintained and submitted as expected.
- Preparing formal procedures / reports as required in support of Technical Team.
- Responsible for reviewing completed technical reports submitted at the end of each offshore cycle relating to all aspects of the project and technical repairs carried out.
- Supporting all engineering, maintenance, procedures, and certification for system mobilisation / demobilisation as required.
- Responsible for the review and updating of system and equipment specification sheets.
- Providing technical support to the ROV teams as required.
- Supporting SCM and Logistics Teams with selection of and hire / purchase of spares & consumables, receipt of goods, distribution, and logistics.
- Technical / SCM support to Project / Asset Managers and the Commercial Team.
- Monitoring asset tracking.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Extensive technical & operations experience in the ROV industry is essential.
- Previous experience of working as an ROV Pilot Technician or ROV Submersible Engineer is essential.
- Applicants should have experience with Seaeye Panther, Cougar and Lynx systems.
