We are looking for a Logistics Dispatcher to join a dynamic operations team in Aberdeen on a long term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced setting and a varied role combining logistics coordination with practical warehouse duties.
The position requires flexibility, with overtime during busy periods and participation in an on-call rota.
In this role, you’ll support day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring equipment is dispatched accurately, efficiently, and in line with procedures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating daily transport and deliveries.
- Dispatching and tracking shipments to meet operational requirements.
- Acting as a key link between internal teams, drivers, and external logistics providers.
- Booking transport and liaising with approved freight forwarders.
- Maintaining accurate records of all equipment movements.
- Preparing and checking dispatch documentation.
- Supporting offshore operations with timely logistics updates.
- Assisting with warehouse tasks such as:
- Packing, labelling, and preparing shipments.
- Loading and unloading vehicles.
- Securing loads and maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Providing general administrative and stores support.
- Assisting with shipping paperwork and customs processes.
About you:
- Experience in a fast-paced working environment.
- Willingness to carry out manual handling duties.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of logistics or customs processes.
- Experience handling dangerous goods.
- Forklift experience.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Navision).
